DGVR debuts Cass Scenic Railroad Facebook page

CASS, W.Va. — The Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad is debuting a Facebook page specific to the fans of its Cass Scenic Railroad. On July 18, DGVR unveiled a Cass Scenic Railroad Facebook page to better connect with customers and fans of the steam-dominant railroad. The page will provide followers with excursion information on trains to Bald Knob and Whittaker Station, along with restoration video updates on the Climax locomotive and other Shay engines. The page will continue to serve customers in addition to the company-wide page, the Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad.

The Cass Scenic Railroad is an operating division of the Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad.

“Cass has such a strong, unmistakable brand. We realize a lot of customers are seeking specific venues like our Elkins-based Polar Express. While our DGVR page will continue to serve those customers, we want our new Cass page to be an interactive tool where we can share neat happenings at Cass with a dedicated fan base that appreciates it,” DGVR Marketing & Sales Manager Chase Gunnoe says. “The Shays deserve their own page.”

To celebrate the new page, the Cass Scenic Railroad is giving away three four-packs of tickets to its Whittaker Station excursion. The tickets can be redeemed at any time throughout the company’s 2018 or 2019 season. Fans are eligible for the ticket giveaways by liking and then sharing the Cass Scenic Railroad page with their friends.
